London Grey

London Grey Quartz Worktop

Refined | Contemporary | Versatile

London Grey is an engineered quartz surface that captures the calm, mid-grey tone of polished concrete in a low-maintenance, non-porous material. Its even base colour and faint cloudy movement make it one of the most adaptable quartz worktops we produce, equally at home in handle-less contemporary kitchens and in painted Shaker designs.

The Look

Where natural concrete is heavy, porous and prone to staining, London Grey delivers the same architectural calm in a hard-wearing engineered surface. The base is a balanced mid-grey, neither too cool nor too warm, with a soft cloud-like movement that adds depth without competing with the cabinetry or splashback. Under different lighting it shifts subtly between soft warm grey and cooler stone-grey, which is part of what makes it so easy to pair.

Best for

  • White or off-white cabinetry: London Grey adds enough tone to anchor the scheme without darkening the room.
  • Light oak and natural wood: the cool grey balances warm timber beautifully.
  • Navy, sage or olive Shaker kitchens: reads as a neutral, letting the cabinets be the colour story.
  • Industrial and loft kitchens: the concrete reference fits exposed-brick and metal interiors.
  • Bathrooms and vanity tops: understated and luxurious in wet areas.

How London Grey compares

Compared to Difference
Polished concrete Same architectural look, but non-porous, no sealing, no cracking, far easier to clean.
Carrara White quartz London Grey is fully grey-toned and uniform; Carrara White is a white base with grey veining.
Granite More uniform appearance, no porosity, no annual resealing required.
Marble Visually similar mid-grey character, but resistant to etching, staining and scratching.

Care

London Grey, like all Expression Quartz worktops, is non-porous. Day-to-day care needs nothing more than warm soapy water and a soft cloth. For stain, heat and cleaner guidance, see our full care and maintenance guide.

Frequently asked questions

Is London Grey a real concrete worktop?
No. London Grey is engineered quartz with a concrete-effect appearance. It gives you the visual character of polished concrete without the porosity, cracking or sealing requirements of real concrete.

How does London Grey differ from other grey quartz worktops?
London Grey sits in the mid-grey range with a uniform concrete-effect look. Compared to darker greys it stays light enough to brighten a room; compared to veined grey marble-effect surfaces, it has a much calmer, more architectural appearance.

What thicknesses is London Grey available in?
Standard slab thicknesses are 20 mm and 30 mm. Slab size is 3200 × 1600 mm.

Is London Grey suitable for outdoor or near-window installations?
We recommend London Grey for interior installations. Like most engineered quartz, prolonged direct UV exposure can affect colour stability over time.

Does London Grey come with a warranty?
Yes. Every Expression Quartz worktop is covered by a 15-year manufacturer’s warranty against defects. See our warranty page for full terms.

Can London Grey be used as a splashback?
Yes. London Grey can be used for splashbacks, full-height upstands, vanity tops, kitchen islands and breakfast bars. Speak to your fabricator about edge profiles.
